The Curse,Author-Lee Su Ann

 "The Curse" is written by Lee Su Ann. The story in "The Curse" is about a village on an island near Langkawi which is cursed from Madhuri's death.People in the village found out that Madhuri was covered with white blood.Azreen, who is at London receive a letter about Madhuri's death and she quickly had back to the village.During Madhuri's funeral,some villagers heard rumors about Madhuri's death was a murdered and Azreen overheard that the Old Lady of the Forest was the suspect.Azreen went to investigate her sister's death.


  I found that the most interesting character in this novel is the Old Lady.Everyone in the village suspect that she was the one who murdered Madhuri but she was innocent because Azreen proved that she was a kind and helpful person eventhough the Old Lady killed her own husband.She lived in a small house in the forest and relies on herself.After awhile,she also helped to treat Mohd Asraf's grandmother  who is in a serious ill.She treats the sick lady with her herbs but fate plays its role when the sick lady succumbs to her illness.The death of Mohd Asraf's grandmother causes her own final departure from the world. She is accused of poisoning Mohd Asraf’s grandmother. Mohd Asraf who has been overwhelmed with anger has accidentally lit her house on fire. Azreen fails to save the Old Lady who has been trapped in the fire. Her life is ended cruelly.The last word from her to Azreen was to learn to forgive before it's to late.

Why did the chicken cross the road ?

My answer is because its a challange to get through the otherside.From generation and generation , all chicken are to complete the challange but all had failed.

Pledge to Mother Nature

I pledge allegiance to the Nature and all the Life which it supports,Earth in our care , irreplaceable  and respect for all.

I pledge to do my best as a consumer to use recycle bag and paper bag instead of plastic bag.For example, we should bring our own bag for grocery.

I pledge to apply the 3R which is Recycle , Reuse and Reduce.Recycle processing used materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials.Reuse is to use an item more than once.Reduce is to lower the usage of materials.

I also pledge to use the Recycle bin  which is a container used to hold recyclables before they are take to the recycling center.Separate containers are often provided for paper (blue) , glass (brown) , tin or aluminum can and plastic (orange).
